Booster shot distribution for the COVID-19 vaccine has begun in Nagano City.

Individuals (18 years and older) who have received 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine can get the booster shot once 7 months have passed since their 2nd shot.せっしゅ)

Vaccine vouchers will be sent to eligible individuals in order of when they can receive the booster shot. ()()()()()()()()()

＊Vaccine vouchers will not be issued to individuals who have received their first doses of the vaccine outside of Nagano City and have since moved into Nagano City. Please call the Nagano City Health Center’s Healthcare Section (026-226-9960) to apply for a vaccine voucher.

Vaccination Method()

Make an appointment at a hospital or group vaccination facility.

Information about times and locations for vaccinations at hospitals and group vaccination facilities will be included with your vaccine voucher. Please get the booster through the same method in which you received your first two doses.

Vaccine Type)

In Japan, there are currently many Moderna vaccines available, while the supply of Pfizer vaccines is limited. (

Even individuals who received the Pfizer vaccine for their first two doses are eligible to receive the Moderna vaccine for their booster shot. All group vaccination facilities will be offering the Moderna vaccine. Please ask for the Moderna vaccine if you are making an appointment through a hospital as well.

The doseage of the Moderna vaccine in the booster shot is lower than that of the first two doses, so it is said that recipients are less likely to develop a fever or feel unwell after receiving it.
